Synopsis: On September 27 1996, a group of parents, teachers and students attending a school surfing excursion huddled under a limestone cliff to keep out of the pouring rain. Without warning a portion of the cliff face collapsed. Five adults and four children were crushed to death in what became known as the Gracetown Tragedy. Was the cliff collapse a natural disaster or was it an accident that could have been prevented?
